I'm not sure what good it does anyone, comparing the actions / atrocities on all sides in the Israeli Palestinian dispute. Two peoples - different tribes / religion - who hate each other after 1000s of years of bad history - living on one relatively small piece of land, which each calls its own.
Solutions - 1. each side forgives the other and agrees, and seriously makes the effort, to live as neighbours, respecting each other; even though living with different religion and social norms. ----- IMPOSSIBLE
2. One group completely destroys the other. -----AGAIN IMPOSSIBLE
3. Land is split in two (Two state solution) Requires "impenetratable" boundaries; huge amounts of outside material and political assistance, 3 generations of time to "forget" all the injustices of the past - "That was my home once".
Chances of success ------- neigh IMPOSSIBLE
So folks can protest on the streets for one side or the other, they can try to shock us with the atrocities of either side; I'm afraid they may as well all piss in the wind for the good any of it will do. We are stuck with this mess for all time, I hate to have to say it, and sadly what a bad name it gives religion. AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

PS If anyone has a solution to the Middle East, please I'd love to know. But the blame game is a waste of time.
I wouldn't have the audacity to present a solution. Is all I can say is the hatred perpetrated by both sides is nothing to do with New Testament Christian religion. Christ said Love your enemies, forgive anyone whom you hold anything against before you pray, blessed are the merciful ..... This clearly is out of the political arena. It's Christianity. Christianity is about sincere repentance. This video exposes propaganda, the tool of perpetrators. Of course it should be exposed. I am glad that I was directed to this video because I have felt so uncomfortable about this genocide.
When a ceasefire and some kind of peace comes what is certain is that the grief and trauma will remain for hundreds of thousands of survivors, friends and family members. Like Roland and Raymond, I have no political roadmap out of the aftermath of the war or the legacy of history, but until I know different, sometime each day I must take specific time to stand with those 100,000s, whatever way I know.
Roland has got the situation 'taped'. I can only add that a full agreement between Hamas and Israel has yet to be reached. This is, without a doubt, a significant moment but it gives no certainty that a peace deal for Gaza will happen, as crucial details still need to be worked out. They include the key Israeli demand that Hamas must disarm, the extent of the Israeli withdrawal and a plan for who will govern Gaza. Richard.
